CryptoFights Chronicles | Early Release Series
Welcome back to CryptoFights Chronicle Early-Release Series!
CryptoFights 2.0 is making steady progress, and we are excited to share it with you. We know our community values seeing our development, and this series focuses on bringing that to you.
We kicked off CryptoFights Chronicles with the introduction of Portal Charging and what it has to do with the soon-to-release CryptoFights Token. CryptoFights is making it possible to passively earn tokens, which you can learn more about by reading the article on Portal Charging.
Before we get into it, our community gets access to almost everything... before everyone else! So if you're interested in early release news, we recommend joining our Discord or Telegram.
More than you know
What we're bringing you this week is a secret we have kept to ourselves. But, more than you know is coming soon to CryptoFights, which involves places you have not been before.
We would love to walk you through a few changes without giving away too many details. Believe us when we say that today's presentation is just an introduction and not representative of our final work. Many of the following are concepts of buildings and environments that will not make their way into the CryptoFights 2 world.
But, those who are perceptive will manage to read between the lines.
This is the Warriors Hub we love and know, where we begin our warrior's journey. The greyed-out perimeter of the map leaves room for speculation with potential walkways to new areas. For some time now, the CryptoFights team has reimagined the Warriors Hub. Our gamers know the map must include something for our latest features, Crafting and Enchanting, but our game will have a lot more to offer.
We wanted to do more than build their outposts into our current map, which meant redesigning the Caravan layout. So today, we are not revealing an updated Caravan, but at the very least, let us show you some concepts for buildings coming soon.
First, we have early concepts of the Blacksmith and Enchanter Environment. These environments have undergone heavy changes to their 3D designs, visual effects, lighting, and the interactive environment in which they reside. Our Developer Updates will dive deeply into their environments and the artists who brought them to life. So tune in soon for their official reveal (with videos included)!
The introduction of The Enchanter and The Blacksmith has completely changed the scope of CryptoFights 2. The features they introduce have made it necessary for expansion. Our marketplace and wallet have been offline and under construction to support the new features that come along with Crafting and Enchanting. The marketplace and wallet are making their way in-game rather than living exclusively on the FYX Gaming platform.
This means gamers can compete in arenas, combat dungeons, craft custom items, and sell, trade, or transfer all within the same application. CryptoFights 2 will have new buildings to support these features, temporarily referred to as the bank and the marketplace!
While we'd love to say the process ended with these buildings - that is not the case. Instead, they have since undergone new revisions and concepts to fit the ever-expanding vision of CryptoFights 2!
The skill tree is also getting a revision - from the inside out. These are a few concepts of a tree that should find its way to the center of our Caravan. But, only time will tell, and we will provide finalized designs in upcoming updates! If you look at the current skill tree, you'll see it is an ancient weathered shell of a magic tree, but we intend to bring new life to it in a way that honors the expansion of our game!
Our latest Developer Update, Freshly Baked Environments, gives a deep dive into the newly rendered dungeons and arenas you can already experience in the game. This developer update clearly represents the detail coming to CryptoFights 2. We mentioned a common request from the community is to improve the quality of in-game experiences over creating new experiences. The Freshly Baked Environments update shows how our animations in-game have evolved to give players an enhanced experience with improved performance. For those curious about game performance, the same article also covers a technical breakdown of long-term solutions we're working on.
These are just a few of the many changes in the works. Once again, please remember this is a work-in-progress, and things are subject to change.
