Greetings Fighters,
Welcome back to CryptoFights Developer Update Series! We love showing our community our latest development, and this series focuses on bringing that to you.
This week we're building off our latest CryptoFights Chronicle, Fighting for More, where we introduced new weapons worth fighting for in CFS2!
Before we get into it, our community gets access to almost everything... before everyone else! So if you're interested in early release news, we recommend joining our Discord or Telegram.
What New
The FYX Gaming team is excited to bring new weapons and armor to the CryptoFights World!
Crafting and Enchanting are the main expansions coming to CryptoFights 2. This feature gives gamers the freedom to create weapons and armor unique to their playing experience.
We hold true that CryptoFights is not pay-to-win. So, any weapons or armor developed and released to the Marketplace by our team will add to the cosmetic appearance but remain neutral in performance.
Other than Crafting and Enchanting, there are a few ways we will introduce new items to our game. Some will be cosmetic, earned by fighting specific bosses, against opponents at high levels in the arena or through our Quest Stone which will be available sometime after the release of CryptoFights 2. You can view some of those weapons in last week's CryptoFights Chronicle.
Creative Fortitude
Creating new weapons is only part of the vision! We wanted to bring new and improved armor to our gamers to give them something more to enjoy.
The idea for new weapons and armor was created a few months ago when the CryptoFights team began working on an unannounced project. Once the concept was set, the creative process began. Our creative process is very much a team effort rather than exclusive to a department.
During our weekly team meeting (where we play CryptoFights together), our team brainstormed some themes of interest. With themes decided, our concept artist Basith Ibram began his work creating these new items.
As Basith delivered new armor concepts, the team provided feedback and inspiration images to refine the designs. About 25 individual designs were created, and today we'd love to show you a few of those designs. Unlike our weapons from last week's CryptoFights Chronicle, these items have not been 3d modeled and are strictly concepts!
