Welcome back to our developer update series! Here at CryptoFights, we love showing you what we're up to behind the scenes. Last developer update, we looked closely at our new test environment and rendering system. This element will introduce ultra beautiful graphics while using little device power. This week, we're returning to someone you think you know well but still have much to learn.
The Enchanter is the main feature coming to CryptoFights 2.0. We're showing you an updated glimpse of our newest friend and his environment. What we won't do is dive in-depth into the design, evolution, and animation of The Enchanter and his environment. However, suppose you’re interested in how the unique skills of our team members transform The Enchanter and make him more than we had ever intended. In that case, you'll have to tune back in for complete feature updates.
Before we get into it, let it be known that our community forums see most updates like this before everyone else! If you're interested in early release news, we recommend joining our Discord and Telegram.
Where are you going, where have you been?
Without giving away too many details of the design evolution, check out this image of our Enchanter in the Crafting, Enchanting & Imbuing scene. We have featured this edition over the last few months. While testing the new features in our developer environment, we threw together a mock-up background. What you see is our caravan, which looks "homey," but it's not The Enchanter's favorite place to get his work done.
This shows the early design of our user interface, which the gamer interacts with. We need a place to temporarily test how crafting, enchanting, and imbuing interact. This temporary solution helps us identify and make changes to the overall user interface to operate efficiently.
This short clip shows three screens; craft, enchant, and imbue. You'll notice the crafting screen looks a little empty, and that's because it's awaiting our Blacksmith, Stormir, whose currently undergoing 3D rendering and animation!
Show me the magic!
The next image is nothing short of a quick change. The background alone underwent numerous changes over many months. As we've said, if you would like to see the complete design, evolution, and animation of The Enchanter and his environment, you will need to tune in again.
What you'll see next:
The concept process and images of our original 2D user interface and 2D Enchanter
The 3D animation processes of our Enchanter
A wide-angle high-definition image and video of his complete (to date) environment, which is so beautiful it's worth setting as a desktop background.
An introduction of our game design team and how their unique skills have transformed him overtime
You'll even see a few... bloopers, if you will. While it's fun, it's also beneficial to reveal how far we've come. There is no better way to help gamers understand the process than to show them.
Wen Game?
One of the most common questions is, when will CryptoFights 2.0 be available? To little surprise, you'll know the date when we make the official announcement. The developer update series is just one part of our efforts to provide detailed insight into the game development behind Cryptofights.
We've received multiple requests in our community forums for regular updates on what our team is working on. With our developer update and feature series, we will continue to bring what you've requested, such as:
whether we're testing new or re-imagined features, such as our new rendering system
user experience and game balancing changes soon to release
the concept, design, and development of CryptoFights, and 2.0 features, such as this Enchanter series
potential changes to our game world, skill tree, leveling, arena system, and anything else - when it's ready to share
To those who may wonder why people are curious about features we may or may not introduce to the game, we have an answer for you. Releasing CryptoFights 2.0 is our main priority, but it is not the only thing our community cares about. Our gamers are curious about what we do, why we do it, and when it happens. Some gamers in our community are primarily concerned with "wen game" because they're excited to see what we have cooked up for them! But, some gamers in our community are passionate about the obstacles and accomplishments of their favorite blockchain gaming companies.
We are just as excited to show you as you are excited to see. We can tell you right now that what we've announced for CryptoFights 2.0 is just the tip of the iceberg for our game and exactly what you can expect upon release. As our founder and CEO, Adam Kling said in our Enchanter Trailer, "I'll put it this way, I think there is probably no restrictions on our creativity, on what can happen in the future". Our entire team is absolutely ecstatic about where we've been and where we're going, so much so that it's a struggle to get them to stop working for the day!
These are just a few of the many new features in the works. Once again, please remember they are a work-in-progress and subject to change.
